An older interview illustrates another reason to be careful with celebrity height claims. In an Evening Standard profile published in April 2012, journalist Hermione Eyre described Murphy as “five-foot-six at a guess”. The qualifying words matter: she was recording an impression during an interview, not reporting a measured height.
